SNAPSHOT: Mt. Napulauan (2642+MASL)

It is the highest mountain in the province of Ifugao and the 15th highest in the country, and is also part of the Great Cordillera Traverses. Mt. Napulauan is often called as the Million Dollar Mountain, associated as the last refuge of the Tiger of Malaya – Gen. Tomoyuki Yamashita. Extensive mossy forests abundant in flora and fauna, challenging assault trails and panoramic views at the top, the experience at the mountain itself is priceless. 

How To Get There:

 Take an Ohayami Bus Line bound for Banaue, Ifugao, it usually leaves at 9:00pm and 10:00pm daily. Terminal is at A.H. Lacson cor. Fajardo St., Sampaloc Manila (Near the University of Sto. Tomas). Alternately, Dangwa Bus Lines also plies this route and leaves at the same time, Terminal is at Kamias, Cubao. (Travel Time is 10-11hrs)

● Once you are in Banaue, Ifugao charter a jeep that will take you to the Hungduan Visitor Center to register and secure your guides before proceeding to the Poblacion jump-off point. (Travel Time is 45mins – 1hr)

● Trek time for the Poblacion jump-off to summit is 6-7hrs, from Hapao is 8-9hrs, and from Balentimol is 7-8hrs.
