“Carve out a niche” is an idiom which means “to successfully create or get something, by working for it” and “to find your space and make a name for yourself in this world”.
Being lost is about the emptiness inside and how you lose track of yourself through the years over superficial routines. Defining yourself and finding purpose is through actions but change is not for the faint of heart. It’s easy to use words but it’s evidence of being different that your soul requires; so we begin to find our little spaces for ourselves in every nook and cranny of this world, hence, we crave to carve that niche for ourselves.
Finding your way means experimenting with new behaviors & new possibilities. Most importantly it means being uncomfortable & awkward which is the only way anyone can grow & change. Begin with small steps and try things out. I am proud that I have a very long list of things that are not me: mountain climbing, scuba diving, solo travelling. Take risks to find out what is not you. Because we are the sum of all our parts.
This is the author’s personal journal from his adventures around the country, that seeks to help and inspire fellow travelers in their quest to discover places. Join him as he embarks on a journey of a lifetime from the golden hours of sunrises and sunsets over mountain tops, and under the ocean currents.
“We used to dream about escaping our ordinary life, but our life is never ordinary. We just simply fail to notice how extraordinary it really is.
Discover how it is to live.
Take it all in.
Go, Carve That Niche.“
